Try something new

They (being someone nameless in a magazine I glanced through once) stated it's good to try new things. I agree...I like to try new diets, exercise programs, tv shows; I even like to move for a change of scenery. My problem has never been trying new things or changing the way I do things. My demons lie within sticking w/something.

For instance, I love New Year's day as it is the fresh start for all the great resolutions I have planned for myself. Daily to-do lists ready - check. My 3,6, 9 and 12 month goal sheets planned and ready - check. Monthly goals/accomplishments - check. Motivation to tackle the absurdity above? Ummm...hmmm.

My problem is procrastination. Hell, I planned to start blogging over three months ago and finally got to that now! Procrastination: the evil voice inside my head that says, "Don't worry, you have plenty of time to take care of those things. Just start tomorrow." So for 2008, my top resolution is to stop procrastinating. ( I hope I make it past week one).

So, my New Year's resolutions are as follows:

1. Stop procrastinating.
2. Exercise 4 days/week for at least one hour.
3. Work on my eating habits (let's face it, they suck)
4. Do something exciting - I'm thinking white water rafting in Colorado or skydiving again
5. Start running

Wish me luck!

Congrats on the new blog and the new outlook! That Procrastination sure can get the best of us. I wish he'd leave me alone so I could be more productive too. :)

Congrats on the new blog! It looks great!

I am happy to assist with the running resolution. Let me know when you're ready to sign up for a 5K or something -- there's always the corporate run in April! That's a good time to shoot for; gives you plenty of time to build up to the 3.1 miles. The course sucks, yes, but there will be several of us there!
