On Again Off Again

Sunshine...
And Rain....
And Sunshine....
And Rain...

This about sums up the weather patterns for today. I heard it raining in the wee hours this morning but it was nice and sunny when I got up so I had my cup of coffee on the patio with my book and Wilson until we got a nice little shower and were forced inside. After two of these, I decided to cut my losses and just stay inside. So, no pool time today but we desperately need some rain so I was glad to see it. It would have been nice to see an all-day soak but the rainy season is about here so I'm sure those days are coming up.

Since the weather was a bust, I worked on the laundry, straightened up the house and spent the majority of my day reading. I must confess. I am now hooked on the Twilight series. Sigh. I really thought I could fight this one but I was wrong. I finished with New Moon earlier this afternoon and told myself to take a break and either read something else or find something else to do. No problem! I found something to do....I got in the car, drove to Target and bought Eclipse. I would have grabbed Breaking Dawn, too, but they were out of it. But after that book, I am sooooo cut off from buying books. I've bought six now this month, Breaking Dawn will make seven and that is enough! Until next month anyway :)

Alright, Eclipse is calling me. Got to get at least a couple chapters in this evening. I must know what happens next!

Yeah, once you get immersed in that series, it's like crack. You can't fight it.

And I'm about on the same track with book purchases this month; thankfully, I had some b-day giftcards to spend to help save me some dough.

I have been working on some other books before I delve back into the 3rd and 4th books. This month has been tough for me to find reading time. I do know what you mean though, it always seems like when I start buying books, I buy a lot at once. Gift cards are the best for those shopping sprees. I usually don't feel as guilty then.

All the rain has certainly made the pool freezing again - just in time for the party. I hear we'll be missing you this year. I leave on the 27th so if I don't see you before, bye! :)
